Backfill represents a critical element to achieving optimal ore recovery in an underground mining environment. Getting the fundamentals right is key to production. Quattro own and operate a laboratory dedicated to backfill ensuring the fundamentals are proved up before optimising mixes to ensure efficiency of operation.
Earlier in March 2025, members of our Projects Team embarked on a road trip across South Australia to prepare for our upcoming Backbone Underground Reticulation Install at BHP Olympic Dam. This critical project will support infrastructure expansion at one of Australia’s largest mining operations.Our team conducted site assessments, met with key stakeholders, and finalised logistics to ensure a seamless execution. The visit reinforced our commitment to delivering high-quality solutions while maintaining the highest safety and efficiency standards.
